The Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC) commissioned this piece as a part of their Spring Fundraiser Gala Dinner and Silent Art Auction. Throughout the event, IMAGINATIONEXPLOSION executed live performance based around the idea of infestation. An alley cat welcomed guests at the red carpet with meows of popular NYC show tunes. Two oversized pigeons pecked around during the silent auction. At the closing of ceremonies on the steps of the banquet hall, IE staged an historical re-enactment of the epic battle fought that morning in 1862 in which the Mexicans fought off the French army and gained their independence.
